Welcome to the semi-finals – Business plan competition entering finale stage

Parallel to the presentation of the charging stations at BMW Welt in Munich another highlight of the project took place in Berlin: The semi-finals of E-Future, the business plan competition of TU Dresden. The participants of the competition step up to the plate to develop a business plan on how to run a quick charging station for e-vehicles. The business plan shall combine additional economic value for the carrier of the charging station and maximum customer value.

The loft of Urania e.V. in Berlin was the scene of the presentations with which the nine teams introduced themselves to the jury and explained their ideas. Unfortunately the team “Elektronauten”, who was amongst the top ten, could not participate due to private reasons.

After the presentations the jury started its secret debate. During that time the teams, guests and co-workers were entertained by the comedy magician Christian de la Motte. In addition the attendees got the opportunity to drive the spectacular BMW Active-E .

Finally, things got very exciting: The jury named the finalists who will fight for victory in November in Leipzig. Surprisingly the jury had decided to nominate 4 instead of three teams!

The lucky teams are:

  • Team „ZEUS“ -  Munich University – Markus Felgenhauer, Cedric Rohr, Immanuel Schwall – Idea
  • Team „E-Taxi 12 A+++“ – Ostfalia Wolfsburg – Marvin Gatzlaff, Benjamin Bode- Idea
  • Team „Green Reload“ – HWR Berlin – Philipp Matern, Enrico Hahne – Idea
  • Team „Vitamin DC“ – TU Dresden – Jenny Wesarg, Tim Adlung, Armin Raupbach – Idea

The team from EIGHT and all our partners are looking forward to a very exciting final in Leipzig. Best of luck to all the teams and lots of fun to the participants who will finalise their business plans in the next couple of weeks!
